You’re receiving this email because you got on one list or another of people who are interested (or someone thought might be interested) in volunteering at The Well. (Or because you’re an active volunteer!)  We won’t send a huge number of emails out to this list, but if you’d prefer not to be subscribed please let me know by reply email.

The Well cordially invites you to our volunteer drop-in tomorrow (Wednesday February 17th) from 2pm to 4pm and from 8pm to 9:30pm.  Come out and see the space if you haven’t, talk with the volunteer coordinator (that’s me!) about the volunteer application you’ve sent in or the one you’re going to fill out… learn about The Well & stuff in queer Hamilton you might not know.

We’re preparing an anti-homophobia campaign dealing with controversy over the word ‘Queer’ in an attempt to lend visibility to LGBTQ communities in Hamilton and educate people about Well services.  We’re talking with Hamilton police about how LGBTQ communities can best work with the police service.  We’d appreciate your input and there’s lots of work to be done on these initiatives and on a few events happening in the coming months.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone who may be interested.  All are welcome, even those just curious what the Well is all about.
