Fall (and school) are here — so is RADAR @ The Well

For many of us, September means a return to the classroom.  Heading back to school can mean huge pressure and anxiety for LGBTQ youth, especially for those who are starting a new, unknown school or returning to a school they know not to be a safe and respectful space.

RADAR @ The Well is a youth group started by Hamilton high school students. The founders needed a supportive and enjoyable social space outside of their schools to relax, interact and explore their place in Hamilton’s LGBTQ communities.  Participants choose their own level of engagement, from stopping in on Fridays for snacks and games of cards through to organizing events in support of important causes.

If you are a youth who would enjoy a laid-back, queer-positive social space open to LGBTQ youth and their allies, check out RADAR @ The Well.  If you work with youth, we will happily provide posters you can share with information about the group.

Who: Youth aged 14-20 years old

When: Fridays, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Well office, 27 King William St. (map)
(lower level of the Sky Dragon Centre)

    Hi!
I am the Positive space leader at Barton Secondary School. At our positive space meeting today, we discussed the need to have posters around our school. Can you please let us know how we can get some great posters for our classrooms?
    Thank you!
