Trans 101 Training is an introductory, interactive workshop on trans issues. Participants will also learn about the transitioning process, and explore the ways in which transphobia and systemic issues/barriers can impact trans-identified individuals. Participants will also learn about best practices and becoming a trans ally. The format is experiential in nature and includes large and small group work, video clips and scenarios. By participating in this workshop, you will gain a solid foundation for all your future efforts to help create a more respectful, supportive and inclusive environment for trans-identified members of our communities.
Upon completion of Trans 101 Training, participants will receive a certificate that they can post in order to let others know that they are affirming of the rights of LGBTQ people.
